13 Unique but Surprisingly Useful Skid Loader Attachments

There are scores of useful, versatile skid loader attachments in the industry. Among the most common are dozer blades, skid steer bucket attachments, augers, and backhoes.

These have a wide range of industrial, agricultural, and construction applications, and many of them bring practicality that is not at first readily apparent.

But in addition to these high-profile skid loader attachments, we also sell a wide range of other attachments that, though they appear highly specialized (and many of them are) still carry a lot of utility.

1. Fence installers

Our skid steer loader fence installer attachments are designed to effectively, efficiently, and quickly manage and install both chain link and woven wire fences.

These fence installer attachments eliminate the need for manual labor, picking up the fence roll off the ground and dispensing and stretching it. These attachments can handle rolls of fencing up to 24” in diameter and eliminate the need to stand it up and hire extra labor to support it during unrolling.

2. Limb saws

A limb saw is basically a chainsaw mounted to a boom pole - no curveballs here, what you see is what you get.

The advantages are reach and maneuverability. With a limb saw, you can reach up to 20 feet to remove dangerous overhanging limbs or selectively trim trees and other brush.

Plus, limb saws are more compact and precise than articulating brush cutter attachments, making them better for targeted trimming.

3. Graders

Our skid steer grader attachments are compatible with laser systems and can adjust to ground traction level for effortless, fast, efficient grading.

Perfect for excavation, general leveling applications, and preparing for paving or pouring concrete, these graders might be highly specialized, but they excel at what they’re designed to do.

4. Log splitters

No curveballs here, either. A log splitter attachment is exactly what it sounds like: a hydraulically-powered log splitter.

Which, to those of you that have split cords of wood with a wedge and sledge, must sound like a dream.

Immensely powerful and efficient, our 40-ton hydraulic log splitter attachments can split the gnarliest, knottiest of rounds with no operator effort (besides positioning the log).

Plus, with our inverted series, operators can split logs from the comfort of the cab. Heating a home or cabin with wood has never looked so appealing.

5. Manure scrapers

Manure scrapers are simple and straightforward. They can be used to move and condense manure, feed, grain and other loose materials.

Available in several different sizes, manure scrapers feature several offset adjustments to keep feed or manure away from tires, 8 angle adjustments for efficient movement of loose material, and feature a reversible, replaceable rubber edge that is easier on concrete and tiled floors.

6. Rock roller

Got rocky soil, and need the rocks out, fast? Sounds like you need a rock roller.

These specialized attachments basically consist of a rotating cage with bars that allow sand, dirt and small pebbles to fall through, leaving behind the larger rocks and boulders.

Fast, efficient, and highly specialized, these attachments can sequester the rocks from up to a ton of material per scoop.

7. Tree spade

Tree spades are highly efficient at digging up tree root balls, as well as transplanting small trees and shrubs.

Our tree spades are feature fingertip controls for ease of use and are made with shorter frames that eliminate the need for stabilizers or counterweights.

Available in several different sizes, tree spade attachments allow operators to dig up, move, and transplant trees without even needing to leave the cab.

8. Tree shears

Capable of cutting through trees up to 14” wide, our tree sheer attachments are no-nonsense tools that make short work of clearing a wide area quick and efficiently, leaving behind the downed trees ready to be limbed, bucked and processed.

9. Sandbaggers

Skid steer loader sandbagger attachments allow operators to easily and efficiently fill large quantities of sandbags in a short amount of time.

These attachments are also useful for managing concrete, sand, washed gravel, grain, feed and more.

Best of all, the design allows operators to self-load from loose piles (discharging up to .5 cubic yards in 50 seconds) and offers excellent visibility.

10. Barrel grabber

Got a lot of large drums and barrels that you need to move easily and efficiently? Pallet forks probably aren’t going to cut it, but a barrel grabber will.

Our barrel grabbers are compatible with inserts that render them capable of handling and managing both 55 and 30 gallon drums, and will not damage barrels.

Our bale spears are available in single, double and triple-tined spear configurations and are unmatched for ease of use an efficiency in transporting bales.

12. Post driver

Driving posts and piles is hard, laborious work. Or it was, until now.

Our post drivers are capable of delivering up to 40 blows per minute and can be used to easily and efficiently drive wood, steel and even railroad ties into the earth.

They can drive posts straight and true on almost any terrain and can drive a 4”-5” post into the ground in as little as 15 seconds.

13. Rock saws

Need to cut through asphalt, concrete or stone? Then you need a rock saw.

Ours are powered by steel, high-torque planetary drives and feature protection for electrical and hydraulic components.
