Snow Pusher
Skid Steer Snow Pusher
Skid Steer Snow Pushers
Clear large areas of snow with a box-style snow pusher designed to move more material with each pass. Spartan Equipment offers Professional Series snow pushers in 72", 84", 96", and 120" widths, giving skid steer operators options for everything from smaller commercial lots to larger parking areas and access roads.
Unlike a conventional plow, a box-style pusher contains snow within the moldboard as the machine moves forward. This makes it well suited to clearing open areas where the goal is to move substantial amounts of accumulated snow efficiently. The available widths also make it possible to choose a pusher that matches the size and operating capacity of the skid steer being used.
Built for Repeated Snow Removal
The Professional Series snow pushers feature a steel moldboard and reinforced side panels designed for demanding winter work. The moldboard is 1/4" thick, while the sides are 5/16" thick for additional support. A replaceable steel side skid shoe helps protect the attachment and can be replaced when worn.
The cutting edge is made from thick rubber measuring 1-1/2" × 8". It is adjustable, reversible, and replaceable, providing a wear component that can be serviced rather than requiring replacement of the entire pusher when the edge eventually wears. The rubber edge is also designed to help reduce contact with and damage to paved surfaces during snow removal.
Key Features
- Professional Series construction: Designed for commercial snow removal and other applications that require repeated use during the winter season.
- Steel moldboard: 1/4" thick for a substantial working surface capable of handling routine snow-pushing duties.
- Reinforced side panels: 5/16" thick sides provide additional support around the box.
- Rubber cutting edge: 1-1/2" × 8" thick rubber edge helps separate snow from the surface while reducing direct steel-to-pavement contact.
- Adjustable cutting edge: The rubber edge can be adjusted to maintain the desired working position.
- Reversible cutting edge: The edge can be reversed to make use of both sides before replacement is required.
- Replaceable wear components: Both the rubber cutting edge and steel side skid shoes are replaceable, simplifying maintenance when these components wear.
- Multiple working widths: Available in 72", 84", 96", and 120" configurations.
- Skid steer compatibility: Designed as a skid steer attachment; operators should verify the pusher's weight and dimensions against their machine's rated operating capacity and attachment requirements before purchase.
- Large-area applications: Well suited to parking lots, commercial properties, private roads, driveways, access roads, and other broad surfaces where snow needs to be moved rather than simply pushed aside with a conventional blade.
- Box-style design: Contains snow across the width of the attachment, making the design particularly useful for moving accumulated snow across open areas.
Available Snow Pusher Sizes
The collection provides four working widths:
- 72" Snow Pusher: 800 lb attachment weight.
- 84" Snow Pusher: 875 lb attachment weight.
- 96" Snow Pusher: Available for operators who need additional clearing width.
- 120" Snow Pusher: 1,075 lb attachment weight.
The wider models can cover more surface with each pass, but attachment width and weight should be considered alongside the skid steer's rated operating capacity, lift capacity, machine width, and the conditions in which the pusher will be used.
Applications
These snow pushers are suited to operators responsible for maintaining large, relatively open areas during winter. Typical applications include:
- Commercial parking lots
- Retail and business properties
- Apartment and condominium properties
- Private roads and access roads
- Driveways
- Warehouses and industrial facilities
- Construction and job-site access areas
- Municipal and institutional properties
- Large paved or compacted surfaces
For operators clearing open pavement, the box design provides a straightforward way to collect and move snow without repeatedly angling a conventional blade. The replaceable rubber edge and side skid shoes also provide serviceable wear components for equipment that sees regular seasonal use.
Select the Right Width for Your Skid Steer
Choosing a snow pusher is not simply a matter of selecting the widest attachment available. The pusher's width and weight should be appropriate for the skid steer, the surfaces being cleared, and the amount of snow typically encountered.
The 72" and 84" models provide more compact options, while the 96" and 120" models provide greater coverage for larger clearing areas. For any model, confirm the attachment's specifications against the skid steer's operating and lifting capacities before putting the equipment into service.
Spartan Equipment offers these Professional Series snow pushers in several widths so contractors, property managers, and other snow-removal operators can select an attachment suited to their equipment and the areas they maintain.
